Prague Botanical Garden joins the project "New Year's Gift for the People of Prague". On the first day of 2024, the citizens of Prague can use discounted entrance fees to selected buildings that the City Hall of Prague established. On January 1, 2024, all visitors to the Botanical Garden in Troy will have entry for CZK 1. The Fata Morgana Greenhouse will also open exceptionally on New Year's Day.

What to see and experience?

Even in winter, the Botanical Garden offers varied and interesting experiences. It plays with the shades of green of conifers and evergreen trees and shrubs, as well as a wide variety of color accents. A surprise can be the flowers of some woody plants, for example, elms, flowering jasmine, and viburnum. Trees are no exception, for example, hairy cherries or Japanese apricots bloom in this period. The winter show of flora is complemented by birds that come to the garden for food, in addition to titmice and blackbirds, you can also see nuthatches, as well as finches and individual robins at the feeders. A jay also flies in and warblers perch on the trees.

Until January 7, it is possible to wander the story of Bethlehem in the botanical garden. A path with thematic stops is prepared in the garden, which will lead visitors to the Bethlehem yurt of the Forman Brothers Theater and their friends. In the nomadic shelter, visitors will find a panorama depicting the story of the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem. On the last weekend before Christmas, December 16 and 17, a workshop for the production of Christmas-themed wooden figurines will be opened as part of the Advent program.
