Experience the enchantment of the Bethlehem tale as you join us on a pre-Christmas journey. Follow a trail adorned with various themed stops through the garden, guiding you to the Bethlehem Yurt of the Forman Brothers' Theatre. Each stop is linked to Christmas symbolism, adding a touch of magic to your festive adventure.Inside the nomadic shelter, discover not only warmth and aromatic Christmas tea but also a panoramic depiction of the Bethlehem story, recounting the birth of Jesus, accompanied by Radek Malý's poems. The exhibition is designed to be interactive, inviting you to actively participate by crafting your own handmade figurines on-site.On weekends, indulge in our Advent workshops where you and your entire family can engage in crafting Christmas decorations from recycled materials or wooden toys and figurines. |
In collaboration with the team of the Forman Brothers' Theatre and their artistic friends, a unique Bethlehem yurt has been created. Along your journey through the garden, you will encounter several artistically carved stops crafted from the natural resources of our botanical garden. These stops, characterized by four main themes, will guide you through the story of Jesus' birth, leading you to the yurt itself.
The yurt serves as a haven for quiet contemplation on the Christmas story, a space for shared experiences among family members, and a rewarding conclusion to your journey.
Visitors-pilgrims journeying through the winter garden to the nativity scene in the Bethlehem Yurt during the pre-Christmas and Christmas season can look forward to the delightful aromatic Christmas tea and refreshing treats. St. Claire's Wine Shop will be serving a comforting cup of hot cider or mulled wine.
The Bethlehem Yurt will be located in the Slope near the Ornamental Garden from December 1 to January 7.
Workshops as part of the accompanying program will take place indoors in the exhibition hall in the Ornamental Garden on selected weekends and times, see below for more information.
The garden is open daily from 9 am to 4 pm.
The entrance fee corresponds to the standard pricing for entry to the botanical garden.
