1. OPENING HOURS OF THE BOTANICAL GARDEN:

What are the opening hours of the botanical garden?

The Outdoor expositions are open daily 9 am - 7 pm (March-October) or 9 am - 4 pm (November-February).

The Fata Morgana Greenhouse is open TUESDAY to SUNDAY, 9 am - 7 pm (March-October) or 9 am - 4 pm (November-February). EVERY MONDAY THE GREENHOUSE IS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC FOR OPERATIONAL REASONS!

Visitors have 1 hour after the end of opening hours (i.e., 4 pm or 7 pm) to leave the botanical garden.

2. HOW TO GET TO THE BOTANICAL GARDEN, HOW TO MOVE AROUND INSIDE THE GARDEN, ENTRANCES/EXITS:

Where are the entrances to the botanical garden? How do I get there?

There are three entrances to the botanical garden:

- the ticket office located near Na Pazderce bus stop, line No. 144 and 102 (K Pazderkám Street),

- the ticket office near the Fata Morgana Greenhouse (Trojská Street),

- the ticket office near Kovárna bus stop, line No. 112 and 234 (Trojská Street).

The Fata Morgana Greenhouse is best reached from the bus stop "Botanická zahrada Troja" line No. 234 and then by following the navigation.

It is not possible to park a car at the Fata Morgana Greenhouse!

How do I get to the Fata Morgana Greenhouse?

The Fata Morgana Greenhouse can be reached easily from the entrance in Bohnice, via the Forest and the footbridge, or from the ticket office at the Kovárna bus stop, then via St. Clare's Vineyard, the Ornamental Garden, the Stráň exposition (hillside) and footbridge, which is near the llama sculpture. The easiest entrance is directly through the Fata Morgana complex ticket office.

Our online map of the site shows all entrances, exits, routes, expositions, toilets, and refreshments. For easier orientation, follow the navigation directly inside the botanical garden.

A printed map of the whole area with legend and other useful information is available at each ticket office.

3. ADMISSION, TICKET PURCHASE, AND TICKET OFFICES:

How much is the entrance fee?

All information regarding admission prices, ticket validity, and other practical information can be found in the admission section on the main page of the website.

Tickets to the botanical garden, purchased at the ticket office or the vending machine cost 180 CZK for an adult, 120 CZK for a child 3+ and students, and 95 CZK for seniors 65+. Visitors 70+ pay 50 CZK for admission, but they must show an ID card or other similar personal document. Children under three years of age, people with special needs, and their guides are admitted free of charge. A family ticket costs 540 CZK. It is also possible to buy an annual ticket in two variants - 10 entries or an unlimited number of entries.

Where and how can I buy tickets?

You can buy tickets to the botanical garden at the ticket offices (Bohnice, Kovárna, Fata Morgana), or at vending machines located at the entrances/ticket offices.

The so-called neighborhood tickets can be purchased during opening hours on weekdays only.

Is it possible to buy an annual pass?

Yes, it is possible to buy an annual pass in two variants - 10 entries or an unlimited number of entries. Find more information in the admissions section on the main page of the website.

Is it possible to pay by card, or can I use Benefit/Sodexo (or similar) vouchers?

You can pay for tickets and other goods (souvenirs) with cash or by card at the ticket offices and the information booths (sales kiosks inside the garden). We do not accept any special vouchers (Benefit, Sodexo, etc.)

If I leave the botanical garden, can I come back? Can I reuse my ticket?

It is not possible to re-enter the botanical garden once you have left. The ticket becomes invalid. To move between the Fata Morgana Greenhouse and the Outdoor expositions, please use only the footbridge connecting these parts of the garden. If you leave one of the sections, it is not possible to return.

Keep your ticket for entry to the Fata Morgana Greenhouse – use it to enter through the turnstile.

To help you find your way around the site, you can use the free leaflet available at all ticket offices or the map of the entire site with the legend and other useful information (also available at each ticket office).

Why must I keep my ticket to enter the Fata Morgana Greenhouse once I'm inside the grounds?

To enter the Fata Morgana Greenhouse, you must use the ticket again at the entrance turnstile located directly inside the greenhouse. You will not be able to enter the greenhouse without a valid ticket.

Will you refund my money if I don't use my e-ticket, gift ticket, etc.?

The purchased ticket/e-ticket cannot be returned, refunded, or extended. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to the Terms and Conditions - the amount paid for admission cannot be refunded.

Is it possible to extend the validity of a gift ticket?

It is not possible to extend the validity of gift tickets - these tickets are valid until the specified date.

Where and how can I buy a neighborhood pass?

Neighborhood passes can be purchased at all ticket offices during opening hours on weekdays only.

Can dogs enter the botanical garden? Do they need a ticket?

Dogs are allowed in the Outdoor expositions only. They are not allowed in the Fata Morgana Greenhouse.

Dogs are charged a fee of 100 CZK.

4. OTHER SERVICES FOR VISITORS - PARKING, REFRESHMENTS, SOUVENIRS, PLANT SALES, WHEELCHAIR ACCESS:

Where can I park?

The botanical garden has only one parking lot. The parking lot is located at the Main Entrance Bohnice - K Pazderkám Street. The parking fee is 200 CZK per day for a car and 300 CZK per day for a van or bus. There are no spaces reserved for people with special needs. The parking lot is not guarded, open 24 hours a day. Do not leave any valuables in your vehicle. Parking fees can be paid by card.

For people with special needs (ZTP and ZTP/P card holders) there are special parking spaces on Jiřího Jandy Street (under the gate of the growing facilities) or directly in Trojská Street - near the Fata Morgana Greenhouse ticket office. In this case, there is an exception to the entry ban in the street. People without ZTP and ZTP/P cards cannot use these parking spaces. The Prague Botanical Garden does not have any parking for visitors in this area, therefore it is necessary to use the parking lot at the Main Entrance Bohnice. It is also possible to use the paid parking lot of the Zoological Garden.

Where can I eat?

Restaurant Botanica with hot and cold snacks and drinks is located under the Fata Morgana Greenhouse. It is open during the opening hours of the botanical garden.

St. Claire's Wine Shop is situated in the Ornamental Garden and offers snacks and drinks as well.

You can buy small refreshments from the Delicomat vending machines, located at the Bohnice ticket box office and also in the Fata Morgana Greenhouse area.

Where can I buy souvenirs? 

Souvenirs and gifts can be purchased at the information stands - one is located directly in the Fata Morgana Greenhouse, another in the Ornamental Garden (next to the St. Claire's Wine Shop). The last information stand is near the Peony Meadow and is open only at weekends. You can also buy plants from the botanical garden at these information stands. Some small items can also be bought at the ticket offices.

Where are the toilets? Are they wheelchair accessible?

Toilets are in the Botanica restaurant under the Fata Morgana Greenhouse (wheelchair accessible), in the Fata Morgana Greenhouse (wheelchair accessible), in the Upper Garden - on the grounds of the Farmhouse (wheelchair accessible), at the children's playground in the Forest, in the Ornamental Garden, and in the St. Claire's Wine Shop (wheelchair accessible) in the Ornamental Garden.
